A splash of rain didn’t stop the 2025 NBS Nelson Santa Parade. Thousands of people showed up to see the Jolly Old Man in Red and to celebrate Christmas, summer and Nelson’s vibrant community.
Thanks to volunteers from The Nelson Santa Parade Trust, Whakatū Rotary and parade sponsors and supporters, dozens of colourful floats made their way along Trafalgar Street. At Tides Hotel Nelson, Santa had a quiet chat with children keen to make sure they were on his ‘good’ list this year.
Nelson Community Foodbank benefitted from donations of non-perishable food and cash, ensuring those in need could enjoy some festive cheer and fare this Christmas.
Trevor Marshall, chair of the Nelson Santa Parade Trust and a member of Whakatū Rotary, was happy to bring smiles to people in Trafalgar Sreett for the NBS Nelson Santa Parade.
