Whakatū Rotary members weren’t going to let a record rain event in the Top of the South Island keep them from their annual changoever function on 28 June, even if the fun car rally leading into it did have to be postponed. Meeting for a delicious lunch at the Brick Eatery in Monaco, club members celebrated the year that was before welcoming in the new 2025-2026 Rotary year.
Outgoing club president Bill Wagstaff handed over the official chains of office to our new co-presidents Julie Bryant and Wendy Goode. Having co-presidents is new for the club but the work Julie and Wendy have already put into planning for their year in office looks set to stand us in good stead. They’ll share the chains but secretly, Wendy is holding out for a presidential 
to wear when Julie has the chains!
